OZONIZED OIL IN THE TREATMENT OF

One analysis of the behavior of Herpes Zoster was carried out with topical ozonized oil therapy, intramuscular application of ozone in reason of 0,8 mg. per day to patients suffering from this disease. Comforting results and relief of the local symptomatology were obtained just after a few hours from the beginning of the topical use of the ozonized oil, with regression of the cutaneous lesions after 5 days after the treatment. The pain stopped after 24 hours from the beginning of the therapy, without secondary effects.

The climate and the type of footwear are the main causes that influence on the high incidence of this disease in our country. Having seen the property of the ozonized oil and also its great germicide power, the patients of the Policlinico “Pasteur”, suffering from epidermophytosis and sensitive to classic treatments, underwent to treatment. The sample was of 100 patients, 50 were treated topically 3 times a day with ozonized oil and 50 were treated with the conventional methods. 96% of patients in the group dealt with ozonized oil recovered in 10 and 15 days. In the group treated with conventional therapy, 20% of patients were cured in 15 days.
